【課程簡介】This short course is designed to help drug developers learn fundamental statistical concepts and methods that are useful for non-clinical research and development. Topics include simple data management practices, data analysis and interpretation, and the basic statistical design of experiments. Participants will learn about statistical issues that could negatively impact their work, along with strategies and methods to overcome these challenges. The learning objectives for participants include enhancing the ability to generate, manage, and analyze data, as well as recognizing potential statistical issues that may require assistance from statistical professionals

這個6小時的課程旨在幫助藥物開發人員學習適用於非臨床研發的基本統計概念和方法。課程主題包括實驗數據管理、資料分析以及統計在非臨床研究實驗設計上的基本運用。學員將了解對非臨床/臨床前研發可能產生負面影響的統計問題，以及克服這些挑戰的策略和方法。本課程的學習目標包括提高學員數據管理和分析的能力，並提高對需要統計專業人員幫助的潛在統計問題的認知。

【課程主旨】本短期課程旨在幫助在非臨床領域工作之藥物研發人員學習實務中常用的基本統計概念和方法。

【教學主題】主題包括基本的資料管理，與數據有關的基本概念，常用的數據分析方法和如何解釋分析結果，以及基本的統計實驗設計。學員將了解對他們的工作可能產生負面影響的統計問題，以及克服這些挑戰的統計實驗設計和方法。

【預期效益】提高對於數據生成、管理和分析的能力，以及識別可能需要統計專業人員協助的潛在統計問題。

【學員實作機會】我們鼓勵學員於上課兩周前，提交實務數據，講師將於其中選出適合之實例用於課堂講解。In vivo 或 in-vitro 數據皆可。請移除所有商業機密有關的訊息，并解釋實驗目的，所需解答的問題，並請用Excel or csv format將數據清楚的列表。安裝上課所需使用的軟體的步驟將於註冊後提供。

Dr. Chi‐Hse Teng is a highly experienced statistician with

He earned his B.A. in Mathematics from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Florida, where he studied statistical genetics under Dr. Mark C.K. Yang (楊照崑).
He has over 27 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries
Experienced in statistical applications across non-clinical areas. He has provided extensive statistical support in Discovery, genomics, safety science, pharmaceutical sciences and manufacturing, and experimental medicine.
Led multi‐site teams and mentoring professionals.
Adjunct faculty at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and the University of Massachusetts Lowell, teaching biostatistics, epidemiology, and predictive analytics.
